How To Wind Your Enoksen Fly E03/P

A Short Guide to Doing It Right

The Enoksen Fly E03/P is powered by a hand-wound mechanical movement.
There is no battery. No electronics. Just a spring, gears, and careful engineering.

Winding the watch is simple - and done correctly, it will not harm the movement.

How to Wind the Watch
Ensure the crown is fully pushed in
(The Fly E03/P does not have a screw-down crown, which protects it from over-winding.)

Hold the watch securely.
Either on your wrist or in your hand.

Turn the crown clockwise
Use your thumb and forefinger.
Slow, smooth turns - no force.

Continue winding until resistance increases
You will feel the crown gradually become firmer to turn. At this point, the watch is approaching full wind.

What “Over-Winding” Means
A mechanical watch stores energy in a tightly coiled mainspring.
When the spring is fully wound, it cannot accept more energy.
If force is applied beyond this point, internal components can be stressed or damaged.
Over-winding does not happen by winding normally as described above.
It only occurs when the crown is forced after resistance is felt.

How to Tell When the Watch Is Fully Wound
Here is a simple and safe method recommended by Casper, our watchmaker:

Gently pinch the crown between two fingers
Apply almost no pressure
Try to turn the crown clockwise
When the watch is fully wound:
The crown will not move under this very light touch

If it still turns easily:
The watch can be wound a little more

This method works because it relies on feel, not force.

Important Things to Avoid
Do not force the crown once resistance is felt
Do not use tools or excessive grip
Do not wind aggressively or quickly
A mechanical watch rewards patience.

How Often Should You Wind It?
Wind the watch once per day, or Every 30-36 hours if worn intermittently
A daily wind keeps the mainspring in its optimal operating range and ensures consistent timekeeping.

A Final Word
Mechanical watches have powered explorers, soldiers, and pilots for generations.
They are remarkably durable - when treated with respect.

Thirty seconds of calm attention is all your Fly E03/P needs.
In return, it will keep time independently of everything else.
