HOW IT WEARS

Expect a solid diver feel, not a slim dress-watch fit.


At 40.8mm, the Dive E02/J sits in a useful space between everyday wearability and proper dive-watch presence. It is not oversized, but it is not trying to disappear either.

The case feels solid on the wrist, helped by the ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal and steel construction. There is weight and substance here, but the proportions keep the watch balanced rather than bulky.

With its 49.2mm lug-to-lug and 20mm strap width, the E02/J will feel familiar if you normally wear watches in the 40-42mm range. On smaller wrists, it will wear with clear presence. On medium and larger wrists, it settles naturally into place.

Fit note
Best suited to wrists around 16.5-21cm, depending on preference.

How to use the bezel

Dive timing
The 60-minute unidirectional bezel on the Dive E02/J is a simple timing tool, originally designed for use underwater.

To use it, turn the bezel before you begin and align the triangle with the minute hand. As time passes, the minute hand will show the elapsed time directly on the bezel.

The bezel only turns in one direction. If it is accidentally moved, it can only make the elapsed time appear longer - not shorter. For diving, that gives a useful safety margin.

Daily timing
Away from the water, the same function is just as practical for parking, cooking, travel, workouts or any everyday task where quick timing is useful.

    The diver’s watch became a classic because the format solved real problems: clear reading, secure water resistance, a timing bezel and a case built to be used.


    Even away from the sea, those qualities still matter. A good diver is easy to understand, easy to trust and hard to dress wrong. That is why the format keeps its place - not because it needs explaining, but because it works.

  • Built as a proper tool watch

    The Dive E02/J was made as a capable automatic diver, not a style exercise.


    The 316L steel case is fitted with a screw-down crown and caseback, rated to 300 metres of water resistance. The matte black ceramic bezel gives the watch a practical timing surface, while the sapphire crystal adds durability where the watch is most likely to meet daily wear.


    Inside is the Seiko NH35A automatic movement, calibrated in-house for dependable everyday performance.

  • A diver that looks right without trying

    Some diver’s watches work because they do not try too hard.

    The Dive E02/J is built around a simple, familiar language: black dial, steel case, rotating bezel, clear markers and enough weight to feel like a proper instrument on the wrist. It has presence, but not noise.

    On the steel bracelet, it feels clean, confident and easy to wear - with a shirt, a jacket, or simply as a solid everyday diver.
