A timepiece more than 80 years in the making, the Aeschbach 1944 Swiss Edition is the watch history intended - but never realised until now. Conceived for the German RLM, the original design never reached production.

More than eight decades later, the Aeschbach 1944 Swiss Edition finally brings that lost chapter of horology to life - retaining the distinctive dial and period proportions of the original design, now combined with a Swiss automatic movement, domed sapphire crystal, strong Super-LumiNova and 100m water resistance.

Authentic Design - Modern Reliability

The 36.5mm watchcase is crafted from polished 316L stainless steel, staying true to the refined proportions of the 1940s. As a nod to the original WWII design, the 1944 features a domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, mirroring the look of the period while adding the durability and scratch resistance of modern sapphire.

The clear, highly legible dial is enhanced by generous Super-LumiNova on the hands and markers. A screw-down crown and caseback help provide 100m water resistance, adding modern everyday durability without changing the character of the original design.

Swiss automatic at heart

Inside is the Swiss-made Sellita SW260-1 automatic movement, with 31 jewels and approximately 42 hours of power reserve.

Finished in dark brown leather

The 1944 Swiss Edition is supplied on a dark brown crocodile-style strap crafted from soft Swedish leather. Its semi-matte finish, classic tapered profile and polished stainless-steel butterfly clasp give the watch a distinctly refined finish.

An additional black leather strap is included, offering a simpler, more understated alternative when you want to change the look.
