Inspired by an original 1957 design, the Aeschbach 1957 captures the elegance and balanced proportions of mid-century watchmaking. Beneath its restrained, dressier appearance sits a surprisingly capable everyday watch, combining Swiss automatic movement, sapphire crystal, strong lume and 200m water resistance.

Encased in polished 316L stainless steel, the 1957 features a domed sapphire crystal that echoes the look of the original plexiglass, preserving its distinctive vintage character while adding modern scratch resistance. Inside, a Swiss-made Ronda R150 automatic movement runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with 25 jewels, a 38-hour power reserve, hacking and hand-winding.

At 36mm in width, the 1957 retains the refined proportions of the original design. The tuxedo-style dial gives it a classic, dressier character, while generous Super-LumiNova provides surprisingly strong visibility in low light. Its restrained proportions make it equally natural with formal or more casual clothing.

Despite its refined appearance, the 1957 is considerably more capable than a traditional dress watch. With 200m water resistance, a screw-down caseback and screw-down crown, it is built for everyday wear without asking you to treat it delicately.

The 1957 comes on a tan calf leather strap, which complements the watch's classic, refined character. An additional black NATO G10 strap is included, giving you a more casual and utilitarian alternative.
